In my effort to track people down for the 10-year reunion, I found a
computer disk that we have at work that lists many phone numbers of
people all around the country. I found a Ron Slutsky with an
address and phone number in Glenside, PA. I called the number, but it
was hooked up to a fax machine, so I sent a fax to that number -
"If this is Ron Slutsky's answering machine, we're looking for you
for the class reunion - please call." The phone never rang.
Ron was famous for many things including the popularizing of High School
words such as: Gazup, Brick, Gudge and Boof. (Brendan Kane pointed
out that Ron also came up with the term "Air Brobst."
That reminded me of a similar Slutsky term "Air Spankles.")
I got this email from a Krysti Kadre in August
of 2002: "Hello there! I have no idea when your page
was last updated but if you are (still) looking for Ron Slutsky, I am
pretty sure he can be found in San Diego. I worked with him for a
while at Security Pacific Financial. I last spoke with him over
coffee about a year ago. As far as I know, he is still living in
Mission Valley in San Diego, California and works as a very successful
branch manager for the company that took over Security Pacific a few
years ago. The only other clue I could give you is that he most
certainly still works out (every single day) at Frog's Gym, also in
Mission Valley. He is not married as far as I know but dates a
bit. If I know him at all, he still gets his hair cut once a week
every Saturday, loves cheap Chinese food and likes to order spaghetti at
Italian restaurants. I know this is the same Ron because of the
photos and the way he used to talk about high school basketball memories
and Philly. Oh yes...He went to George Mason University and loves
his niece to death. Hope this helps. Ron's friend, Krysti
Sure enough, a "People Search" on
Yahoo turned up only ONE Ron Slutsky - with an address of 12 Parkcrest,
Newport Beach, CA (which is actually closer to Los Angeles than San
Diego) and a phone number of 949-706-1135.
