Sherri Becker's
parents, who are friends with my parents, were at my wedding. Back in
high school Sherri and her family lived right around the corner from me
and my family. Sherri and I used to baby-sit the kids across the street.
Additionally, we played probably close to a million games of kickball in
the Becker's back-yard when we
were in elementary school, and even a pretty good amount of "SPUD".
There was even a time when the Beckers and the Malinowskis spent a
week-end at the Becker's
Rehobeth beach shore house.
Sherri was a member of VICA for all 4
years of high school.
According to Sue Klempke's "Senior Memories", Sherri once fell
over a couch.
As of 2005, Sherri's daughter, Paige, rides
to school on a bus driven by former classmate, Karel (Frymoyer) Guinther. |

OUTSTANDING STUDENT
Sherri Becker has been
chosen as the Vo-tech student of the issue. Sherri was chosen because of
her outstanding work in Data Processing. She has been working on Data
Processing for 3 years at Berks East.

She also is very active in VICA at East. She has been in VICA for years.
After graduation, Sherri would like to follow her
career and work with computers.

| Sibling Marriages: |
Sherri's sister, Bobbi Jo, was married in 1997 to Central Catholic graduate
Michael Green. This is significant to me because Bobbi was also a
Becker-back-yard Kickball All-Star, while Mike Green not only was famous
for his feeble attempts at beating me and
Jimmy Quirk at games of
one-on-one football (with an all-time quarterback of course), but also
had a cute sister who went to Drexel (i.e. Sue Green who once was in our
class and was later traded to CC.) Sherri was the Matron of Honor, and
Sherri's daughter Paige was
the flower girl. Antietam graduate, Becky Quick was in the wedding
party.
Sherri's sister, Erica L. Becker, was also married in 1997 to
Christopher Jenkins who went to high school in Bethlehem, and collage at
Alvernia. He is employed by Berks County. Erica is a
graduate of the Berks Real Estate Institute and is employed by Penn
National Off-Track Wagering (OTW) in Exeter. Mt. Penn graduate,
Megan Bundens was maid of honor. Sherri was matron of honor.
Sherri and Erica's sister Bobbi was also in the wedding party.
Sherri's daughter, Paige, was flower girl in this wedding too.
Sherri's husband, Kevin was in the wedding party, as was
Mike Zalegowski
who has played Softball with
Chris Malinowski for a number of
years. The wedding was followed by a trip to Antigua. They
now live in Exeter. |
